allGeo Integrates its Logistics Platform with the USPS SEAM Transportation Management System to facilitate Compliance for Mail Freight Contractors

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 23, 2024

Abaqus’ allGeo transportation & logistics platform is the first of its kind to complete integration and certification on the US Postal Services’ next generation “SEAM” Transportation Management System.

Abaqus, Inc., a provider of the allGeo cloud-hosted Field Service Automation Platform, today announced the launch of its certified load-tracking and supply chain support solution for the US Postal Service’s next generation Solution for Enterprise Asset Management (SEAM) TMS for freight brokers and 3PLs providing over-the-highway transportation of the US mail.

The SEAM system is replacing the US Postal Service’ existing Location Compliance Reporting System (LCRS). Companies that have been using the LCRS service will have to switch over to SEAM to submit load location and status information to the US Postal Service.

“We’re pleased to work closely with the US Postal Service to provide our SEAM-compliant load tracking and supply chain solution to the brokers and 3PLs that serve its needs,” said Shailendra Jain, CEO of Abaqus. Inc. “We look forward to enabling the US Postal Service with a more complete picture of its surface freight operations, helping them improve services and reduce costs.”

The allGeo solution works on all iOS/Android phones and tablets, and can associate non-USPS trailers with a particular USPS load to deliver location tracking information, ETA alerts with traffic conditions, Geofence based arrival/departure, Stoppage logs at processing & distribution centers, and Proof-of-Delivery information to the USPS SEAM system.

The allGeo transportation & logistics solution provides a key component for automating the Supply Chain Management workflow, all the way from tracking & tracing non-asset based brokered loads to automating carrier logistics operations such as asset identification, driver data collection and integration with back-office systems such as TMS, WMS and Inventory management systems. The solution can work with smartphones and special-purpose devices to provide GPS & indoor location tracking, location-tagged barcode & QR code scanning on pallet/container/packages, GPS-tagged photos for proof of shipment and proof of delivery, signature capture, enterprise-grade dispatch messaging, and operations analytics.
